After years of smaller battles, there is only one clear path to total universal supremacy, WAR! You must now defeat your enemies to ensure the survival of your species… or face Extinction.

Interviews:
GameSpy geführt mit Jason Hough, Novak und Peter Green. Kleiner Ausschnitt: GameSpy: Let's talk about the basics first. How many units does each side have at their disposal at any given time?
Jason Hough: Each side has a different population/supply cap, and they vary from mission to mission. On average, Predators can have around 11 on the field at a time, Marines 25, and Aliens 40.

HomeLANFed geführt mit Jason Hough, Novak und Peter Green. Kleiner Ausschnitt: HomeLAN - What can you tell us about the Colonial Marine Units in the game?
Peter Green - We've got everything fans have come to expect from the franchise, including Synthetics, Pulse Rifle Infantry, CommTechs (like Hudson in Aliens), Flamethrower Marines, Smartgunners, SADAR Troopers, Sentry Guns and Exosuits (plus a few more). When they aren't upgraded, they're pretty much straight to the license, as fans would expect. But when the player upgrades his units, that's when we take off into new territory. Much of what we've tried to do there is to map real-world combat systems that are currently in development onto the AvP universe, in order to update it somewhat. Military technology has changed in some interesting ways since Cameron's original vision made its debut back in 1986. As far as characterizing the Marines as a whole goes - they are all about projecting withering firepower at range.

DailyGame.com geführt mit Jason Hough, Novak und Peter Green. Kleiner Ausschnitt: DG: With three different species, we presume there will be three entirely separate campaigns?
Jason Hough: Yes that’s correct. The story weaves them all together nicely, with each campaign giving you another perspective on the same story.

PlanetAvP geführt mit David Stalker Kleiner Ausschnitt: PlanetAvP - Are all these games meant for the PC? What about console games; or, what can you tell us about the upcoming PlayStation II/Xbox title, AvP: Extinction?
David Stalker - As I said above, we will make choices on a title-by-title basis as to what we feel is the best platform for a given title based on a number of things, including what the developer's strengths are.
The AvP: Extinction cat is finally out the bag and I most certainly can confirm that it is a real-time tactical strategy game that will be on Xbox and PS2. Most RTS games that've appeared on console have been an afterthought of a PC game (with all of the inherent control problems that that presents) but with AvPE we set out to create something exciting that *originated* on console and didn't have those problems. Something that worked from the very outset on a console controller and didn't make you swear and wish you had a mouse!

4Players - 67%
